About Alexander

Alexander was born in Germany in 1976 and completed his training as a physiotherapist in 1993 at the Medical College in Bad Liebenstein.

Since then, he has worked in various facilities and opened his first physiotherapy practice near Frankfurt am Main in 2001.

In 2004, he founded his second practice, which also included a fitness studio. In 2012, he completed training as a naturopath and expanded his practice to include naturopathy.

To gain a deeper understanding of the interconnections within the human body, Alexander began training as an osteopath at the Institute for Applied Osteopathy (IFAO) in Frankfurt in 2017. He completed this training in 2021.

After 24 years of running his own practice and nearly 30 years of professional experience, Alexander decided to move to Norway in 2024 with his partner Karen. Here, he worked in various places to familiarise himself with the Norwegian healthcare system and learn the language. In June 2025, he opened his own practice to share his extensive knowledge and experience with patients.

"Your path to greater mobility and well-being."

Osteopathy

What is osteopathy and where does it come from?

Osteopathy was founded in 1874 by the American physician Andrew Taylor Still (1828–1917) and is today considered part of alternative medicine. In many countries, it is recognized as an independent form of medicine.
It is a holistic medical approach that uses the hands as the main tool.
The core idea of osteopathy is to view the person as a whole. Imaging diagnostics and examinations do not always provide insight into the cause or show organic findings that explain various disease and functional symptoms.
The goal is to use anatomical knowledge to identify and treat functional disorders and their interrelations.

Osteopathy is based on three important systems of the human body:

  • The parietal system (musculoskeletal system)
  • The visceral system (internal organs)
  • The craniosacral system (nervous system and cranial structures)

Osteopathy is used, for example, to treat headaches, shoulder/arm, back, pelvic, and leg issues, as well as internal problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal complaints, and postoperative care after abdominal surgery.

Physiotherapy

What is physiotherapy?

In the field of physiotherapy, I offer various treatments for most orthopedic conditions affecting the muscular and skeletal systems.
After surgery, I create a personalized training program with exercises that you can do either independently or under the guidance of a trainer.

Lymphatic Drainage

What is lymphatic drainage?

Lymphatic drainage is a specialized medical drainage technique in which the transport of lymph fluid through the lymphatic vessels is stimulated using gentle, light-handed movements.
It is an important part of complex edema treatment, used for patients with lymphedema and lipedema.
Lymphatic drainage is also used after orthopedic injuries or surgeries, and in cancer patients who have had lymph nodes removed, to relieve symptoms such as swelling and pain.

The main goal of manual lymphatic drainage is to reduce fluid buildup in the tissues and to accelerate lymph flow.
